hints of my autoimmune problems made me unable to enter a life that required rising early in the morning, having little sleep, and being able to travel anywhere a superior ordered. I did seriously investigate becoming a nun, corresponding with several convents, but had to give that up.

Having had the experience of firsthand apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary that was witnessed by someone else as well, has helped me to have a strong faith, because I actually have had visual evidence of the Virgin Mary, even if she was like a hologram.

I do not doubt that this apparition experience does play a part in my desire to please God or try to please God, and to find divine reasons for all the troubles and problems that beset me, and to try to offer these sufferings to God and the Blessed Mother for the reparation of sins and conversion of sinners.
